Impressed by his selflessness and determination, the Jade Emperor granted the Foolish Old Man and his family the ultimate reward. With a wave of his hand, he caused the mountains to vanish completely, leaving a level plain in their wake.

From that day forward, the Foolish Old Man and his family lived in prosperity, their story serving as an inspiration to all who heard it. And though they may have been called foolish by some, their unwavering determination had moved even the heavens themselves.
